HIKE DETAILS: The result of a few hikes on Lantau. The scenery rugged and stunning. Old village paths, beaches, isolated peaks and snacks at small cafes. In case you're all wondering - yes, the next book will be about Lantau Island. I'll keep you posted!!

HIKE DETAILS: Weird. The Blair Witch hike. A supernaturally intelligent 6 year old prodigy, an aggressive male monkey that followed us for 3km, strange faceless voices just beyond a bamboo grove, an unexploded bullet and front row seats for a mountain rescue.

HIKE DETAILS: Sumyue was on her first hike so I chose some unusual paths. Firstly, an overgrown path from Fa Sam Hang village to Turret Hill and then a slippery mud path to Mui Tsz Lam before heading to the MacLehose Trail and the final descent.

HIKE DETAILS: No, it wasn't a night hike. I met Steffen, who had never hiked in Hong Kong before, and we took a stroll around the trails of Shing Mun Reservoir. The hike was mostly very easy and relaxedwith a few overgrown paths. Beer and food were in profusion at the end!!

HIKE DETAILS: Starting up the new season we decided on a quick hike up cloudy hill followed by a short ridge walk and fun descent down from Wong Leng. The smog was a sad reflection on Hong Kong's air quality, but we didn't let it detract too much.
